A Womb Welcoming takes the form of a monumental, bodily portal, an abstract passage into the feminine and the place from which life begins. Built through layers of soft, enveloping forms, the work draws upon the womb as something both deeply intimate and collectively shared. Every human life begins within a body. Rather than depicting the body literally, the sculpture transforms it into an immersive landscape that feels sensual, protective, strange, and inviting. Its folds and concentric forms draw the viewer inward, suggesting an entrance and a place of transformation. At its scale, the work invites the viewer not simply to look at the body from a distance, but to encounter it as an environment, a portal into softness, creation, and the divine feminine.
